Bread Machine Oat Bread Recipe

Elizabeth reacts to the minute amount of butter that is in a slice of bread. Not having bread kills many menu ideas. Trust me here, you will not miss the butter in this one. Enjoy that sandwich with some mayo for lunch and use olive oil Italian style dipping sauce for your supper meal. What is Alpha-gal?

Servings: 10 slices     Prep time: 15 min     Cooking time: 3 hrs - depending on model of bread machine
Utensils: bread machine, measuring cups, measuring spoons

Bread Machine Recipe
8 oz warm water
2 tab of honey
1 pkg dry yeast
2 cups unbleached bread flour
1 cup whole oats
1 beaten egg
4 tab safflower oil
1½ tsp salt

Directions

Add the ingredients in the order they are listed to your bread machine container. Then start the machine - you are done.

Alternative Recipe Ideas

  • Add 1/3 cup sunflower seeds.
  • Add 1/3 cup chopped English walnuts.
  • Add 1 tsp of non-sulfured molasses.
