Running fence through the woods and moving it around often require some innovation. Here are a few things I do that are super fast and easy. The next idea is using a tree where the fence pulls around the tree. We used a steel post and insulators. Against the tree you can normally only drive it into the ground a few inches before hitting a root. This has been more than enough for me. the wire tension holds the post against the tree just fine keeping the wires off the tree.

Last is my gate idea. A steel post fits perfectly into the center hole on the wood screw in insulators. Looping the hot wire around the post makes it hot. Then you can just hook the insulated gate hooks anywhere on the steel post.
